The Day We Left Earth is a Norwegian modern metal project built around the songwriting partnership of lead vocalist Martin Bjerke and songwriter/producer Simen Handeland. The result is a sound built around contrast: beauty and brutality, intimacy and scale, human emotion and electronic production. The Day We Left Earth has since grown into an internationally streamed act, accumulating over 30 million streams across platforms, largely independently.
